It’s surprisingly simple to get started posting your very first auction on LD Bidz. Here are all the steps you need to follow.

Step One

Open an LD Bidz sellers account.

If you’ve bought things on LD Bidz, then you already have an account, just log in with it and click sell in the toolbar at the top of the page, then click create a sellers account. If you have never used LD Bidz before you will need to open an account. Use the register link underneath the toolbar and then click sell, then click on create a sellers account. The LD Bidz site will then guide you through the rest of the process. This may involve giving your credit card details and bank information.

Step Two

Decide what to sell.

For your first auction it doesn’t really matter what you sell. Take a look around the house i’m sure there is something in the house that you’re not all that attached to and could put in the post. Small books and CDs are ideal first items.

Step Three

Submit your item. Click sell and you are on your way to listing your item.

The first thing you will be asked to do is choose a category. It’s best to just type in what the item is and let LD Bidz choose the category for you. Next, write a title and description of the item. Include key words you think people will use for in the search box. Include all the information you have about the item in the description box. Set a starting price of $0.01. It will attract the attention of bidders who otherwise wouldn’t bid and items will almost never finish at such a low price. The next step to set is the duration of the auction for as many days as you would like the bidding to continue. The length of the auction is entirely up to you, the longer sales will usually get more bids, but will also seem to drag on forever. If you have taken a picture of your item you can upload it now. Items with nice graphics always sell for more. The Final step is to choose the payment method, PayPal or any of the other payment solutions LD Bidz offers. Submit and you’re done!

Step Four

Wait for your item to sell.

This is just a matter of sitting back and letting LD BIDZ do what it does best. Buyers will find your item and leave bids on it. Some bidders might email you with questions about the item. Please answer these emails as quickly and accurately as you possible. Time is money and satisfied customer will always return. Remember that if your item doesn’t sell then you can list it again for free.

Step Five

Collect payment and post it.

LD BIDZ will send your buyer emails guiding them through the process of sending your payment for the item. Make sure you have the money before you send anything. Once you have recieved the payment all you need to do is pack the item for shipping. Make sure to wrap the item in enough bubble wrap so it doesn’t break during shipping. You will recieve the buyers information in a confirmation email from LD Bidz. Ship your order as soon as possible after receiving payments. Doing this will ensure your good standing with other buyers.
